Disclaimer: The suspension of the Indiana Gas Use Tax (7%) on April 8, 2026 due to the declared emergency was extended on May 6, 2026 at an increased rate of $.23/gallon. Additionally, the state’s fixed gasoline excise tax of $.36/gallon was suspended. Both suspensions are effective through June 7, 2026. However, gas stations must pay these taxes upfront to distributors. Gas stations will continue to sell gas at the full rate until they are supplied with new fuel at the tax-suspended rate. There will be natural price differences statewide as gas stations move through their inventory. The base price of gas includes other factors including market volatility, availability of refined products, cost of transporting fuel, state excise tax, federal gasoline tax, and other regional factors. A higher price does not necessarily equal deceptive practices or price gouging. Information presented on this dashboard should not be construed as an endorsement of any gas station.
